Vaste Burcht kerk, Schiedam

The Van der Kley organ of the 'Vaste Burcht' church in Schiedam had water damage from a leaky roof. In particular, the Great soundboard was very wet. J. L. van den Heuvel Organ building was commissioned to repair the organ.

All the pipes of the Great were removed to gain access to the cones of the windchest. The windchest was cleaned and damaged cones were renewed. Also, all membranes of both manual chests were renewed. The pipework was inspected, cleaned and if necessary repaired before they returned on the windchest. The voicing was checked and corrected where necessary. The work was concluded with a general tuning of the organ.
