In 1981 J.L. van den Heuvel built a new organ for the Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Bodegraven. It was inaugurated on December 10, 1981. In 1996 a new larger church was built and the Van den Heuvel replaced by a second hand 21-stop organ. The Van den Heuvel-organ was relocated to the church of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Berkenwoude.
