C.F.A. Naber started in September 1851 with the construction of a new organ for the Dutch Reformed Church of Sliedrecht. The inauguration took place on december 26, 1852. In 1883 Van den Bijlaard repaired the organ. He also placed a Fernflöte 8' on the Bovenwerk, later this stop was replace by a Voix Céleste. The trebles of the Prestants and Gamba were renewed, and possible also the treble of the Mixtuur by a Cornet and the Fagot 16' by a Cello 8'. Van den Bijlaard also shifted the pipework of most stops by one half-note and revoiced the instrument.
Gerrit van Leeuwen restored the organ in 1938. He placed a new electric windmotor, replced the Carillon with a new Mixtuur en replced the Dulciaan with a new one. Also all stop knobs were replaced. With works in 1954 the stoplist was changed in a more neo-baroque style by Van Leeuwen. The Hoofdwerk Bourdon 16' was replaced by a Sexquialter, the Mixtuur/Cornet was replaced by a new Mixtuur IV-VI. The Cello 8' was replaced by a Cymbel III and the Trompet was replaced by a new one. In the Bovenwerk the Voix Céleste 8' was cut to a Quint 1 1/3' and the Pedaal Trompet 8' was replaced by a new Trompet 4'. Finally all façade pipes were replaced with new pipes.
In 1973 J.L. van den Heuvel Orgelbouw carried out a technical revision on the action and wind chests. Also the original Carillon was reconstructed on the Bovenwerk and placed instead of the Quint 1 1/3'. After this revision the organ was re-inaugurated on May 1, 1973.
