G.C. Klop (1996, 13(15)/IIP) for sale

Gerrit Cornelis Klop was born in 1935 as son of a shipbuilder. His interest in music was sparked when he took organ lessons as child. After hearing a harpsichord concerto during a trip to France, Gerrit decided to build a replica of this medieval instrument in his garage. This instrument was tested by the harpsichordist Gustav Leonardt. In the early 1960s, early music regained popularity, but there was a lack of original instruments. Gerrit Klop, a chemist by profession, saw the challenge and, starting in 1966, developed his hobby into a full-time profession. The scope expanded to include baroque (continuo – and church) organs made almost entirely of wood, in the tradition of the Italian “organo di legno”, the wooden organ from the Renaissance. He built his first church organ in 1988, modeled on the Compenius organ (from 1612) in Frederiksborg Castle, Denmark. In total Klop built approximately 2000 Instruments based on historical insights. One of the few concessions made was the installation of a wind machine instead of foot-operated bellows. The Klop reputation is international. After his death in 2018, the company was continued by his son Henk and grandson Niels.

The parish council has commissioned the J.L. van den Heuvel-Organ Builders from Dordrecht to find a suitable new location for this beautiful Klop organ.

For an interested buyer, this is an unique opportunity to purchase such a beautiful instrument, which is very suitable to function in a church, an auditorium, or as choir-organ in a large church. The owner asks only 49.000 euro for this organ, but you can also make a proposal that will be seriously considered. Additional costs include transfer. For the parish it is important the organ will receive a good future. No V.A.T. is charged on the purchase price as you will purchase the organ direct from the owner. L. Verschueren (1966, 10IIP) for sale

Due to the sale of one of the church buildings of the Protestant church in Sittard (Municipality Maas- en Beekdal), the organ, built in 1966 by L. Verschueren, is now surplus to requirements.
Van den Heuvel-Orgelbouw in Dordrecht has been commissioned to find a new location for this organ.

In 1891 Léon Verschueren founded an organ building shop in Heythuysen. After the Second World War, the company also became more active abroad and grew into one of the larger organ building
shops in the Netherlands. In the mid-1950s, the shop employed as many as 100 people. The Johannes church and its organ were built in 1965/1966. The organ, built under the advice of E.
Barendrecht from Geleen, is listed in Verschueren’s work list as opus 674 and it was inaugurated on May 27th, 1966.

Vermeulen (1972, 7IP) for sale

The organ for sale was built (in 1972) by Jos Vermeulen for the St. Laurentius Church in Voorschoten. It served in this church as choir organ. When the church was restored in 1994, the organ was moved to the side aisle of the church. Flentrop maintained the organ there. In 2005, the organ was moved to the St. Luke’s Church in Vlaardingen. This church was recently sold, and the organ was dismantled by Van den Heuvel and re-assembled in one of their assembly-halls in Dordrecht.
