The firm Bernard Pels & Zn from Alkmaar (NL) built the new organ in 1964 (opus 617) for the Redeemer Church in Bussum. It was built under the advice of Piet Kiel Sr. On January 7, 1965 it was officially put into use. 2019 organ builder Pels & Van Leeuwen worked in the organ and an important re-voicing was made. This organ builder also split the Octaaf 2’ from the Mixtuur ranks to make it separately operable, which created more timbre options. Some months afterwards, the decision was made to divest the church on January 1, 2020. Van den Heuvel-Orgelbouw has relocated the organ to the 'De Verbinding' (formaly 'De Kern') in Spijkenisse. The organ was reinaugurated on 23 september. Three stops were added to the Hoofdwerk division. Therefor the organcase was expanded at the rearside to accomodate a new slider chest with electric stopaction and mechanical keyachtion.
