Fama & Raadgever organ (1983, 10/IIP) for sale

1963 Jaap Fama (1934-2001) and Piet Raadgever (1935-2023) founded their organ and harpsicord company in Utrecht. Before they were employed by Van Vulpen. They started in the former organ builders workshop of Van Dam (who worked with Maarschalkerweerd). In 1988 they moved their shop to Maarssen. The building style of Fama & Raadgever was at that period the so called “Scandinavian” style. All together they built 104 new organs and 36 harpsicords. Besides this they restored 41 instruments and took care for approximately 200 pipe organs. In 1995 the partners went separate ways. Piet Raadgever continued up to 2005.

The organ that is now for sale was ordered in 1983 for the chapel of the Academic Hospital in Utrecht. In 1989 the organ was transferred to the new chapel when the new University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC) was finished. Fama & Raadgever were responsible for the maintenance. After the dead of Piet Raadgever the Van Vulpen organ building company became among others responsible. Unfortunately, the chapel is almost no longer used for services. For this reason it was decided to ask Van den Heuvel-Orgelbouw in Dordrecht to offer this beautiful organ for sale.

Van Vulpen organ (1965, 15/IIP) for sale

Van Vulpen organ (1965, 15/IIP) for sale

Van Vulpen built this organ in 1964-1965. The design is based on an instrument that Van Vulpen designed and built in 1961 for the Eusebius Church in Arnhem. The sound concept is based in the Scandinavian examples. The Trumpet however was built vertically in the organ case instead the example in Arnhem where this stop was placed horizontally. Since 2020, no services have been
held in the church building. The organ was maintained by the Van Vulpen company until 2022. In 2025 the building was sold to a project developer who wants to convert the building into an
apartment complex. Van den Heuvel–Organ builders were commissioned to find a suitable new location for the organ.

L. Ypma organ (1866, 18/IIP) for sale

L. Ypma organ (1866, 18/IIP) for sale

The parish church in ‘t Zand (North-Holland) was built in 1963 to a design by the architect Theo Molkenboer. After completion, the church purchased a new pipe organ that was built by the well-known Dutch organ builders Ypma from Alkmaar. The last service took place in the church building early 2025. This is the reason why a new destination is being sought for organ and the whole interior of this church.

Lodewijk Ypma built this organ in 1966 with the mechanical slider chest system. The instrument had 17 independent stops divided over two manual keyboards and aqttached pedal. In 1920, the
instrument was cleaned by Bernardus Pels, who also installed a pneumatic playable independent pedal. Pels also altered the stop specification slightly. In 1966, the Vermeulen company from
Alkmaar (already taken over by Flentrop) cleaned the organ and eliminated the alterations from 1920. They renewed the Trompet 8’and the Cornet 3 rgs replaced the Bourdon 16’. The Quintfluit
and Dulciaan on the Bovenwerk were also restored to their former glory. The entire wind supply and the wind trunks were renewed. With this intervention, the instrument was returned to its almost
original state as far as the stop list was concerned. Although not original, the presence of an independent pedal certainly added value to the whole. In 2010, the Flentrop company restored the entire organ.
