Ridderkerk, Bethel Church, Netherlands Reformed Congregation (34/II/P, 1980)

Ridderkerk, Bethel Church, Netherlands Reformed Congregation (34/II/P, 1980) J.L. van den Heuvel Orgelbouw b.v.

This organ, more than 9 meter wide, was built in 1980 in perfect complement with the 32 meter wide church. The organ is imbued with a French romantic character, including harmonic flutes 8', 4', and 2' on the Swell, and a large selection of reed stops. The percentage of tin found in the pipe work is quite high. The organ of the Bethel church was the first substantial instrument designed  and constructed by Van den Heuvel in this particular style. The organ was inaugurated on august 28, 1980 by consultant Dirk Jans. Zwart.
