Van Vulpen (1986, 16/IIP)
The Opstandingskerk (Protestant church) in Assen was inaugurated in 1991. At that time, however, there were no financial resources to purchase a good pipe organ. In 1994 the Ontmoetingskerk in
Ridderkerk closed, and the church in Assen was able to acquire the beautiful organ, at that moment only eight years old! In 1995, the organ was installed by organ builder Sicco Steendam.
During recent years, the organ was maintained by Mense Ruite. In 2025 the church also closed. Van den Heuvel-Orgelbouw from Dordrecht was commissioned to find a new location for the organ.

Van Vulpen (1965, 15/IIP)
Van Vulpen built this organ in 1964-1965. The design is based on an instrument that Van Vulpen designed and built in 1961 for the Eusebius Church in Arnhem. The sound concept is based in the Scandinavian examples. The Trumpet however was built vertically in the organ case instead the example in Arnhem where this stop was placed horizontally. Since 2020, no services have been
held in the church building. The organ was maintained by the Van Vulpen company until 2022. In 2025 the building was sold to a project developer who wants to convert the building into an
apartment complex. Van den Heuvel–Organ builders were commissioned to find a suitable new location for the organ.
